Hospital Short Codes

After visiting hospital recently on three occasions I have received text messages asking me for feedback that say that although I might be told I will be charged to respond, I won't be. However if I try to respond to the text which is a short code I get the message cannot send as the number is not formatted correctly? This is not a competition it is simply sending feedback to the hospital why would that not work? Thanks for your help.

This is usually down to the message app being used.

If on android, try a different message app or check your app settings.

Even though the messages are part of any allowance that you have, you will probably need to remove a zero spend cap that you have on your account because it is a short code number.

Don't worry though as you won't be charged at all
