There are other users who have posts about this issue on Reddit too, Samsung put out a statement about using unofficial chargers and that is what causes the paint to flake off (sounds ridiculous to me) but I'm using a Samsung official charger, I'm just wondering what sort of action can I take with O2 about this seeing as the device is through a contract with them. I'm waiting on a Samsung rep to call me, after discussing this with them a couple of days ago, they have until later this evening to do that.

I have sent an email to O2 complaints review service.
Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for trying to dodge responsibility on this.

Both O2 and Samsung use the same service centres so O2 will do whatever Samsung approve as far as warranty is concerned, or charge the same rate as Samsung for a repair.
