I already feel like leaving o2 and I've not even received my SIM yet!
My phone needs a second SIM [eSim], o2 support eSim, thought great they'll do.
Haven't received my sim yet, but looking on the help pages under how to request a eSim. In store or click this link. Click link, takes be back to the help area home page over and over. Okay, that's pointless, annoying but pointless. I'll try a live chat or something.
Ah, I'll ask the AI thing to get me some info, maybe a live chat. Jesus, must have asked about 5 times in various ways about a eSim. Every reply. "I don't understand the question" Okay, so let's try asking for a live chat, o2 are bound to have one. Again, nope, thing had absolutely no idea what I was asking.
Managed to find a live chat via a search engine. Start chatting only to find out it's the o2 business live chat and they can't help me. But credit they put me through to personal contracts.
Gave the advisor my o2 number explained that I've not at the moment received the SIM yet and that I would like it swapped to a eSim as I have no space in my phone for a plastic SIM.
Can you give me 1,3,4 from you security question. Nope, haven't even set one up.
Okay, she says. I'm going to send you a security text. Umm.. I did literally just say I don't have the SIM so I that isn't going to work.
Okay, lets do this via email. Great, all done.
Comes back to say, SIM cards take 1-3 days to be delivered, you need to wait until the SIM has been delivered before I can do anything.
A. Why the hell didn't you just tell me that at the very start of this long-ass live chat knowing that I've not had my SIM card delivered yet, instead dragging me through all this to then tell me.
and B. Why do I need to SIM to be in my hand before I can swap it for a eSIM.
C. I questioned why I need to have my the SIM in my hand even though I have absolutely zero use for it, I get a reply telling me to hang on and wait a moment....... Oh, so now all of a sudden I get asked "Shall I go ahead and place the request for a new eSim my end?"
Well, yes.. Not that I've asked multiple times already.
I really hope for o2's sake the reception where I will be using this SIM is reliable because I'll be swiftly terminating my contract [14 days returns]
Tell me, why on earth was this such a headache?!? No links anywhere on your support page to speak with someone. Most links somehow take you back around to where you started off. Never have I come across such disorganization! Lost for words.

Wait because maybe your my o2 account probably hasn't been made you can manage all these things after at least 2 days which is how long it was for me
