Today I switched to a different provider but my phone number did not follow me as expected. In fact, the old sim died but the phone number id not transfer. I contacted customer support for the new mobile provider and they blamed O2 for the issue and do not know when (if?)  it will be sorted. Now, I had that phone number for many years and I had several providers and I have never faced an issue like this….I am appalled how can this happen. I contacted ofcom too but who knows when the issue will be resolved….

@Cosnick365

It's the responsibility of your new network to sort this out with O2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

OFCOM will probably give you a pleasant reply but they don't handle individual customer complaints.

And you got the same answer here now as you got earlier in the day

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Especially as you need to give at least 24 hours for the port to complete.
