Have you tried using the MyO2 app, from your phone's app store, @Casey1403? It does not prompt for a pin via SMS (normally anyway!).
Failing that, contact O2 via Social Media, ways are in the link just below - good luck!

I got my O2 sim only for traveling to UK (back when there was no free roaming). I get the alert often too. It seems sometimes you get the code and sometimes not. Just try it again at another time, it should work then. At least that's what I experienced.
