I have been getting texts from O2 telling me to top up by 10/5/22 with £10 or more to receive 3GB of free data good for 30 days. I topped up with £10 this morning but cannot verify whether I have received the free data. I have tried sending BALANCE to 20202 multiple times but I just get back one SMS telling me my PAYG rates. I tried calling 4444 to hear my allowances but there is nothing showing. I tried logging in to MyO2 but no bolt-ons or allowances are showing there either. When I have received this kind of offer before everything has just worked and the offer has been applied automatically. Very disappointed with O2 today.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Thank you MI5. Appreciate your response. This was the only way I could find of contacting O2. Have to say they don't make contact easy! So how does someone who doesn't use social media reach out to O2 customer services?

4445 is a direct line from your phone to PAYG customer services.
There are a bunch of other regular numbers on this link Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
or here https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

If you’ve been given complementary data it WONT SHOW on your available balance. I know that sounds strange but that’s the way O2 do it
You’ll know it’s on there because even as you use data your available data as shown won’t decrease until you’ve used up the extra data.
Hope that helps.
