I recently used the facility for roaming whilst in New York for 4.99 a day.

Dont waste your money the service was appalling you'd be better of just going to a coffee shop to use the wifi.

As for getting in contact with o2 to complain well!!!!

Had the same problem in Thailand. Complaints chat refunded 2 days 'usage'.

Always best to use a local sim when in New York according to many. I think @Bambino occasionally uses 3 Feel At Home as well?

Pointless trying to use data on O2 travel.
Take a ThreeUK sim with you next time.

Yes @Cleoriff I do use Three when I'm in the US (I use it here in the UK too). @MI5 is correct about trying to use data in the US. Pointless and incredibly expensive. Three is great for data when abroad as there are no roaming charges and works reasonably well. It's good for calling and texting back to the UK too, as you only use minutes from your tariff (and Three has unlimited texts). I do, however, also use a US T-Mobile Pay & Go sim for local calls and texts. That's what works for me.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
