if i upgrade my phone before my bill is due on the 22nd will i pay double or will it be this month for my old phone and next month for my new phone ?

If you upgrade now, you will have a first bill payment of the remaining days on your contract, including the the new tariff. It will be one bill but the first one may be higher.

If your bill is due to be paid on the 22nd then this bill will not change.

Your next months bill due to be paid 22nd of july will be first bill you pay for the phone and new tariff. The tariff part of the bill will be pro-rata which means the bill for the tariff part may be slightly higher or lower depending on the price of your new plan and yoir current plan.

However if your bill is generated on the 22nd but is not due to be paid until the 6th of July then if you upgrade now then you bill generated on the 22nd will be the pro-rata bill including phone plan.
