hi ive had an o2 sim card for around 4/5 years but ive never been able to purchase stuff by sms like extra internet or your bank holiday deals ive tried several time but to no success can anyone suggest a fix ?

You’ll probably need an updated 4G SIM card which you can get in any o2 store & they will do a sim swap for you

@Anonymous Before u get a new sim, just check your old one. If it has 4G some where in the number then it's already a 4G sim.
some times says 4gpp2 or 4gp3 or something like that. But if it has 4G written in the numbers etc, then it's a 4G sim
