Ok will be cancelling my o2 contract, in a month or two, its up for renewal 5th March 2014, so would like to get a letter off in the post a good month in advance, giving 30 days notice , and will send it recorded delivery. Ok this sounds simple, but No its not, did chat help and support via o2 online, spent 20 mins trying to get this address, I dont want to cancel on chat, or phone, I want to send a letter and then go to the shop I got the phone from, to confirm this. But after 20 mins, trying to get me to stay, the answer is no we cant give you an address period, you have to do it on chat or phone.....Now I was told in the o2 shop where i signed up, to this contract, that I could cancel by a letter, what is this secret address pretty please......if any one knows of it, I would be very grateful, thanks in advance..

This address is in the 'contact us' tab at the bottom of the forum page, thus I cant see why they would not supply it to you !

Because they don't want the OP to cancel their contract?
Once my current contract runs out I am considering cutting all ties with O2 and going to somebody like T-Mobile if they do a cheap contract on a phone I want.

You're Welcome.
I'm still bemused by what Live Chat said !
Sorry to hear your wanting to leave.
Be sure to check whichever Network you choose gives you good signal where you Live, commute and work by trying out their Payg sims.
Also get your current phone unlocked.
its free to contract customers and £15 to Payg {t&c apply}

Richard, the address is freely available on here so withholding it wouldn't stop a person intent on cancelling their contract !
I'm assuming t-mobile provide stable signal for you. If so and they tick your wants and needs boxes then its a no brainer. PAC code time.

I would be happy to send you the transcript of the chat, waste of time, I have always been a pay as you go, but decided to get a windows phone, i am a low user, ie data and text, but joined pay monthly just under a year ago, I hardely use the phone, or data, and when i have when out and about, its been useless, no signal, so i no longer see any point staying with 02, I will revert back to my, 1000 mins, or text for £5.00 a month, suited me well, and keep my phone... It was pridictable that the o2 recontract advisor, would not give me the address, delay tactics, I am very head strung, and will not fall for any of the waffle, thanks for the address...

Make sure you get your phone unlocked, if you're intending to keep it, which you can do for free while you are a contract customer. If you're not getting a good signal from O2, once the phone is unlocked you can try Pay and Go sims from different networks to see which one works best in your area.
