porting number

Hello everyone,

I need to port my number from Orange/ee. Have my PAC code ready to go. I've never ported before and I was wondering how smooth the process is.

I'm mainly worried about not having a number over weekend during the process. I will I have use of my temp number o2 gave me until the port is complete?

Unfortunate;y no networks will let you port over the weekend.

As others have advised, ring O2 on Monday and they will port your number for Tuesday.

Normally the porting process is fairly seamless however I would advise leaving your new handset turned off on porting day and wait for your old handset to lose service. Then turn your new handset on and make a test call to see if your number has transferred. DONT PANIC if it hasnt as it can take up to 6pm to transfer fully. Every hour or so, just restart your new handset and your number will transfer over.
