phishing text

I received a text today claiming to be from O2.

The text said O2 were unable to process my latest bill and asked me to update payment information via a link.

However - when I logged into O2 and checked my bank account, all payments had been processed.

The text came from 07377 068240.

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

tried but can't forward text to 7726 as unable to send. Not sure this number is currently working

It does work but if you have a spend cap it can prevent sending to shortcodes (even though this one is free).

07398 570788 was the number my similar message came from today.
