Money applied as a credit (ie, not buying any allowances), never expires.

I believe you have to make a chargeable call every six months and top up every 999 days to keep the number active.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Which payg tariff ate you on ?

On O2 unlimited for example you get some allowances that last a month and you keep the top up credit to either pay for the next set on the anniversary date or can use to continue to make calls , texts and use data after you've exhausted your tariff allowances.
