Hello, Jean here...
i have an o2 regular sim and i am thinking of getting a phone that has a mini sim slot. is it possible to get a mini sim for my current number or would i have to get a new number?

yep just go into an O2 shop and they can provide a new sim and swap your number onto it......simples!!

even for pay and go? forgot to add i do that one, not pay monthly(and thanks for the quick reply)

They will do it for you but you may have to top up.

yeah even Pay As You Go although they may charge for a new sim and require a top-up. Either way, they can swap your number over for you normally within 10 minutes (although can take up to 24 hours)

They only ask a person to out £10 top up on a new Payg SIM card with new number before leaving the shop.

Not so with blank Payg SIM cards.

If you get a sim swap done to a nano sim you can then ask for a free set of sim adapters so you can use it in any phone. Just an idea.

I have the same query. But I'm on a contract. Would like to keep my same number on a mini sim.

Would they be able to do it for me? Would there be a fee?

Yes an O2 shop should be able to provide you with a new sim and normally free.
