i need an answer to my question NOW - you have illegally charged me three times for one text - it went through three times rather than onece - and I only pressed once - this has happened before and i am getting fed up of it.

Calm down, you won't get a response posting like that. This is a customer to customer forum, hardly any O2 reps post here. Are you sending long sms as if they are more than the characters allowed for one message, they will send as more than one message ie: 160 characters a message so anymore than 160 or whatever number your phone goes to it will send as more than one SMS

Is the message between 480 and 640 character in length as each sms charge is per 160 characters
