lost My Phone

Hello everyone

I was out last night and I lost my sony xperia z1  I contacted the police and told them also told o2 worse thing is I recently just had bought this phone and I did not insure it ahhh man have 2 go and spend more money on a new one

Due to contracts I submit many don't know the true value of a smartphone or even care.

Surprises me how you can lose a £500 phone and just go out to replace it. It's a massive outlay for most people.

Well that was exactly my point @jonsie . I agree that most people like BoB nowadays need a phone due to

work commitments, however it is more the attitude of youngsters with their  'I have lost a £500 phone

and will just go and get another one' that frightens me...

Well never lost a phone had it stolen or even broke one dropping it down the toilet etc but all 3 of ours are always insured from day one on a business contents policy.

And all our phones have sim pin and passcode lock enabled just in case of loss / theft .

(yes I leave mine down the local some nights but everyone knows it is mine and it is waiting behind the bar for me )

I did look at ones like protect your bubble but the t&c are something to read ! If you pay monthly and make a claim you have to pay up the rest if the year first. If your phone is say 10 months old then you'll get a phone of the same age.

Always look at home contents etc normally cheaper less restrictive but may have a Higher excess. our 3 cost about £36 a year but new for old with £100 excess but all risks are covered
