Hi,

This may be of interest http://www.o2.co.uk/international/o2-travel

Turn off 'mobile data' in your phone's settings so it does not connect to the internet on a foreign network.

Use Wifi where possible.

If your phones unlocked use a local sim card.

If its locked to o2 then request the unlock here : https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

Free to contract customers and £15 to payg {t&c apply}

Turn off voicemail before you travel

Make sure "Data Roaming" is OFF on your phone otherwise it's £1.99 per day if your phone uses data in EU.

Turning roaming off should be sufficient however, to make double sure turn off mobile data completely and just use wifi to connect to data services.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
