iPhone 5 issue with no internet & calls failing

Anonymous
Not applicable
For the past 4 months my wife's phone has lost internet connectivity and continually gets call failure. We had web chats, numerous conversations actually been down to a O2 shop twice even received a new SIM card & still the problems persist. We don't have an apple store close (Bradford). I am paying for services I'm not receiving surely O2 are in breach of contract as this as been going on for months with no resolve ?!

If the phone is faulty you can send it to Apple if a store is not near enough for you to visit.
O2 are not in breach of any contract unless you have proved that they are depriving you of a signal.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You could use o2's repair service by popping into your local shop ,but to be totally honest I'd make the trip to the nearest Apple Store.

I used to travel to mine which was nearly an hour and half each way !

You could go in Apples home page and speak to their support specialists.

Hi M15, can I ask why when I'm under contract to a provider are they not sending the phone they supplied me with to Apple ?! Surely as a consumer I have rights regarding faulty equipment. O2 have tried and acknowledged there is a problem but aren't excepting liability. Would you continue to pay for a service your clearly not receiving ?!

Ps appreciate your replies.

O2 will send it to their repairers for you but if you want the best Apple care you have to do that yourself.....

ETA I wouldn't advise letting O2 lose on it.... Apple direct everytime would still be my advice.

In the past I think you could ask for a return bag for a repair but I'm not sure this is still a service offered.

You would need to speak to a specialist.

I personally wouldn't allow anyone other than Apple to effect a repair on my iPhone.

In many cases they simply swap out the faulty one for a mint refurb model.
