@Stevejackiek

You need to do a sim swap from your old sim to activate the new 5g one.

Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

or just put your old sim in the new phone.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks for that I thought the Sim they sent was specifically for the phone for the 5G but it’s working with the old Sim from the 8 Plus

@Stevejackiek

You're welcome.

If you are in a 5g area you can swap to the 5g sim, but no point if you can only get 4g now.

Just remember you'll need a 5g sim when 5g reaches your area.
