im looking to transfer my sim to a esim so i dont have to carry 2 phones is this possible

Pop into your local O2 store for the quickest way to swap to an esim.

Take photo ID with you.

Yes, you will need to contact o2 to get an esim, your best bet is to pop to an o2 shop with photo ID, and they can sort this for you.

Have you checked that you have not got a dual SIM 'phone ?

That's a handset that will take two physical SIMs.
