I have an esim for a dual sim iphone 11pro

I have loaded the sim and the phone has recognised it as the secondary number however I cannot make or receive calls from the secondary number - is there an activation process I could have missed (nothing was stated on the esim packaging)

Many thanks

All esim info is in this guide. Scroll down for iPhones.

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/esim

Edited to add activation process.

To download your eSIM profile onto your iPhone using the QR code:

  • Make sure your iPhone is connected to wifi.
  • Find your QR code in your eSIM pack.
  • Go to Settings > Mobile Data.
  • On the ‘Mobile Data’ screen select ‘Add Data Plan’.
  • Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code. Then confirm by pressing ‘Add Data Plan’.
  • As part of the setup you'll be able to assign a name to each mobile number and also choose which mobile number to use by default for data, calls and texts.
  • You can change these settings whenever you like by going to Settings > Mobile Data > Default Voice Line / Mobile Data

Give it 24 hours and then reboot your phone.
