changing o2 monthly contract to different o2 monthly contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, I am currently on simple tariff and phone and deal i want through carphone warehouse is only available on new o2 contracts. I keep getting different answers if i will be able to transfer my number over once i have the phone, but o2 chat and another person on her have confirmed it can happen ok. cpw seem to be the ones that say it can't happen.

anyway, my query is will anything else be affected by transferring my phone number to different contract? like any of my aps that i download (whatsap/ priority moments/ priority tickets) that are linked to my number? also with my account i use for o2 website?

Sprry if sound dim, with all the info i have got past few days i want to make sure it will be easy as only upgraded  in past!

So they will only give you the deal with a new connection, not upgrade, then they also tell you you can't keep your number?
Nonsense.
Just call cs when you have the new phone and ask them to terminate the old contract but transfer the number to the new one. Simple.

It's no problem at all. Nothing will be effected as you will still have same number.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Getting anyone from customer service, particularly if it's through Live Chat, who knows what they're talking about is a bit of a lottery these days.
