VAT added to monthly contract

I am being charged VAT on top of my monthly contract price. I was never made aware that there would be added VAT. I thought that VAT could only be added to business contracts?Thanks

Do I put old sim in new phone?

I have transferred all my data across from iPhone 7 to iphone 11. Do I still need to put my old sim in the new phone so everything will work? It seems to be working ok except in settings-phone I cannot open this or change caller ID voicemail etc.
