Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S10. It was an unlocked purchase, not from O2. I cannot get Wifi and 4G Calling setup. This is aggravating as it is the specific reason I switched having complained to my previous supplier. My 3g signal in my home is truly diabolical despite what O2 say on the coverage checker. I have checked the O2 list which does give the S10 as a compatible device. When I couldn't get it to work, I dug further and found the need to check CSC by dialling *#1234#. My CSC does not contain the TEF, O2U or OTF as required. It is G973FOXMBFUE6
Is there any fix to this? I used to flash firmware on my old Nokias so would be able to install the firmware required.
I really do need Wifi Calling. Can anyone help? Or would like to swap
Many thanks, Mike

Beyond belief! I replied to the notification emails using the username IslandBoy and it said I must complete my profile? Huh? How did I start this thread otherwise?
How rubbish is that. For the avoidance of doubt, I am both IslandBoy AND IslandBoy1. How can I get a mod / admin to correct this?

@IslandBoy @Anonymous
The J3 is a type of phone that DOES require O2 firmware and must have the CSC as mentioned to work with wifi calling.
As already stated, the S10 DOES NOT require O2 firmware. It will work on generic EU firmware.
There is clearly an issue with your account setup or an issue with O2's systems.
Hopefully the technical team can sort it for you.
To get your name changed back to @Anonymous you need to ask @TheresaV @LukasB or @Martin-O2 to sort it for you.

Please put my name back to IslandBoy as it used to be (since I had to change it from O2XDAfan which I used to have since 13 Dec 2015).

@Anonymous @IslandBoy
Also, there was a workaround that used to force wifi calling on which was to shutdown the phone and remove sim.
Restart the phone without the sim, then insert it once the phone has fully booted up.
Not sure if this is still relevant though?

@MI5 my problem is reconciling what the O2 website clearly says on the para "How to check if your firmware version is compatible - Samsung" under Wifi and 4G Calling | Help & Support | O2. and what you say / the O2 first line staff say. Something is not right here.
I did the CSC check it says and do not have the TEF, O2U or OTF codes cited. It then says "If the CSC doesn't include one of these codes then Wifi and 4G Calling isn’t supported on your phone right now". Which is where I came in last week.
My Samsung Galaxy S10 is a vanilla unlocked, unmodded phone with 100% standard Samsung firmware out of the box running fully updated Android 11. The CSC code is G937FOXMBFUE6
The O2 people seem completely unaware of what their own site says. I have activated Wi-Fi Calling (and rebooted n times). Three O2 staff say it's active. It does not work - there is NO setting for it on the phone on the place where the staff and the instructions from O2 say there should be. I have had three furtrsting calls with O2. W-Fi Calling setting does not appear on the phone. O2 Guru booked call does not occur despite promises. And then they force me to have a new username!

Uncounted remove / reinsert SIM, restart. I have been doing this since 2G and DOS so I'm no newbie.

@IslandBoy I said restart phone without sim........
and to repeat, the S10 does not require an O2 CSC, that only applies to some phones, but NOT the S10.
Your wifi settings may also be in a different place as they were moved on 11 from the network settings to the call settings (or vice versa, I can't remember which way now).

@MI5 "I said restart phone without sim........" I heard. Done it before. Just did it again. Twice. No cigar.
"Your wifi settings may also be in a different place as they were moved on 11 from the network settings to the call settings (or vice versa, I can't remember which way now)." I followed the O2 instructions which say:
"To enable Wifi Calling, go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi calling. Make sure Wi-Fi calling is set to On. To switch off Wifi Calling, set the toggle to Off.
If you can’t find the settings here, try going to Phone > tap the 3 dots in the top right corner > Settings > scroll down to find Wifi Calling and toggle On.
No "Wi-Fi Calling" under Settings > Connections.
No "Wi-Fi Calling" under Phone > 3 dots > Settings
The VoLTE calls for O2 SIM under Mobile networks is greyed out and can't be toggled.

Nothing more you can try then @IslandBoy
You'll just need to wait for tech services to investigate the issue.

Incidentally @IslandBoy
Can you confirm your PDA is G973FXXSBFUF3 ?
