I took out a £37 contract but was charges £38.24 for my first month. Now its been paid, it says 'recent additional charges to your bill' £0.17. I have unlimited texts, unlimited calls and 1gb of data and just under half of that data has been used......... Why am I getting charged extra?

The recent charges are without vat. With vat I'm guessing that charge is a mms message. Which isn't included in your monthly tariff

Could be because you went over your pro rata allowance in your first month.?
