when i purchase my Simplicity SIM card, does it require activation before it starts charging me for the £20 a month or does it do it immediately?
im looin for a new phone, but want the sim card now.
a simple question im sure, so sorry if i offend your intellect.

Firstly welcome to the board.
It's a simple question but a good one.
As Simplicity is a contract (albeit on a 30-day renewal basis) you have to sign up to it, and that should be your activation date.
So as you'll be paying from then it gives you the incentive to get a phone quickly
Having said that, as you have a set number of minutes / texts, I'm sure you could gets you money's worth in a shorter period.Sometimes the billing date is not a month from the signing of the contract. There may be a few days where you get your allowance pro-rata. For example if you sign the contract on the 1st, the monthly billing period might start on 4th, in which case you'd get a 10th of your monthly allowance for those first 3 days.
So don't forget to check, when you get your phone how many minutes / texts are left in that billing period (text 21202 from the mobile to get your allowance for that period).
