Voicemail problem

My contract had recently been disconnected,I have paid the bill and now been reconnected,iv set my voicemail up again but I’m getting notifications that I have voicemails but every time I try and listen to them it says I have no new messages of no saved messages.how can I access my messages???
Can any one help me please

Call yourself from another phone and leave a message.
Then dial 901 from your mobile to listen and delete the message which should clear all notifications.

I’m receiving notifications saying I have new voicemails but when I call the voicemail number it’s saying there’s nothing there

You need to call yourself and leave another voicemail.
When you then listen to that one, it will clear the stuck notification.
