I understand that you can use your phone elsewhere in the EU exactly as you do at home and any free data, text and voice allowances you have as part of your deal apply when you use your phone in Europe. Can anyone advise me, is that literally so or are there exceptions? I don't know if it is relevant but I have a business provided phone.
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous
Yes you are correct...have a look at the community advice here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/Use-your-UK-bundles-in-Europe/m-p/1050515
A word of warning though...if you go over your allowances you will be charged...and other customers are reporting that data is heavily throttled. A long thread about it here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Roaming-Changes-from-15th-June-2017-CONTRACT-ONLY-quot/td-p/1053128

Yes...it's the data throttling part that's annoying many. Hopefully you have WiFi where you are going..:smileywink:

I'm not altogether sure that business customers are throttled, just consumer contracts maybe. However business users are able to access 4G in some locations.
Maybe, just maybe, the 'temporary' restrictions are being removed as we speak in 😤
Yes it would be interesting to get feedback from @Anonymous when he returns from his trip...:smileywink:
