Upgrade now or wait until end of 24 month contract?

Anonymous

Completed a Web chat with an agent as my 2 yr contract is drawing to a close.

I was basically told to hang on for the 3 months remaining as I will be offered a free upgrade at the end of my 2 years.

What I need to know is, will the upgrade cause an increase in line rental if I am offered a free new phone?

It will all depend on which phone and tariff you choose.
Current prices all available here but do change regularly.

Hi @Anonymous and Welcome to the Forum.

I would suggest when your contract is coming to a close and upgrade time looms to do homework by checking out the independents such as CPW (they can't offer the refresh tariff).

Then when they (02)offer you a retention deal you can be armed with what the other outlets are offering.

Look at Tarifffs and monthly costs first followed by the phone. Perhaps make a short list of phones that interest you and visit the high street to have a play with the working demo models.

Enjoy the journey.
