Can anyone tell me why I am unable to txt a radio competition?

I would check you dont have a spend cap on your number, and also check if you have a premium rate bar on your account.

You can find out by logging into Myo2 either the App or the website.

If you cant find this, then you will need to call CS on 202 from your o2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from another phone
This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
