UInlatching old 02 phone

Trying to unlatch my old 02 phone and they wont let me saying its not an 02 phone depsite me purhcasing it from them during my contract, since upgraded to a new phone on my contract, however they should still unlatch my old phone right?

It might be unlocked already so try another sim in it first.

@AnonymousYes you should still be able to unlock it, unless as @MI5 says, it's already unlocked

If it isn't unlocked they will have to unlock it, legally.
