    Hello folks, has anyone ever got sms saying: We were unable to process your latest payment. In order to avoid fees, please update your information via... and then there is a link. I do not want to click on that link because it might be a scam. I checked my account. It says that the latest bill was paid. I just would like to double check here. I have never received this kind of message from unknown to me number before. Thanks

Unfortunately I did click on the link twice but stopped when it asked for all my payment details etc.  Had phoned 202 for O2 twice to check billing but each time the automated answering just cut me off after all the ususal questions telling me to just log into O2 - not helpful!  Are o2 not responding to customer  calls, even when about billing.  (Did have an o2 adviser on phone for 30 mins last week when trying to get me to upgrade however).  Finally logged into My o2 and checked billing then found this advice, also used it to block the messages.  This has obviously been going on for some time as read message from Sep and this is Jan so feel o2 should be alerting all their customers to this.

@lou4581

It's been going on for a long time, even before September. The thing is, the number they text from changes constantly.

Best advice? O2 will NEVER text from a mobile number.

I have received 2 now from 2 different numbers. On the first one the link wasn’t complete and then on the second one it was the full link I just deleted them. I am worried though that my phone will be terminated
