Hello I have recently moved and updated my address with my bank. I forgot to update my address on O2. I received a message today suggesting my monthly direct debit has not gone through because of incorrect billing information. I clicked on the link and updated my address and it asked me for my card details and account details as soon as I entered them it took me to my bank page. I paused and didn’t continue, I changed my password and reported to my bank, cancelled my card. I am just frustrated with O2, I get so many nuisance calls and text messages. There has been no action. All I hear is that I should block the numbers. It is such a high risk at all times. I am unsure of how can scams be so accurate. How did they even know that I have moved recently? Is there a better solution? I have reported this to 7726.

It's a well known scam effecting all networks, not just O2.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

Changing passwords and notifying your bank as you have done should be enough.

They can't do anything if they can't access your accounts.
