Switch Up - Storage Mismatch

Hello! First time poster, long term lurker.

 

I have recently done an upgrade online via Switch Up.

 

The device I'm trading in is a Galaxy Z Fold7 256GB, as purchased from O2 in July. I have the proof of purchase which shows the correct IMEI and storage of the phone.

 

I have gone to do the Switch Up tonight, and the Switch Up/Recycle system is detecting my IMEI as a 512GB variant of the device, which is not correct. There is no option to say this is incorrect.

 

I have proceeded with the Switch Up anyway, as this has happened to me before but quite some time ago.

 

Is this going to cause me issues when I send the device in the post to them later on?

 

I feel this will, and then there will be issues with my bills. I'm aware this is a community forum, but any help is appreciated, thank you!

A quick search for the words Switch IMEI in the search bar above will bring up more, including mentions of Ingram Micro who process these returns...

 

Take many photos before you send your Galaxy Z Fold7 let the package out of your hands for return.

 

And note Switch up is recently mentioned as being changed to 11months minimum now 😲
