Hello, I've been paying for my son's contract (SIM only) through my account for the past few years. Recently he bought his own phone and picked an o2 contract (Phone + SIM), but he was given a new phone number + his own o2 login details.

Is it possible to transfer the old number which I have been paying for onto his new SIM / contract and connect it to his o2 account, which will allow me to close my account down? If so, how do I go about doing this, does it need to be initiated from my account or his?

Many thanks,

Warren

Hi @Warren

You need to call customer services, explain the situation and ask if they can migrate his number to his new contract https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

If you phone you will need to be together to do this

Or you could both go instore and ask them to do it....

While you are doing this either via phone or instore you ask about closing your account at the same time.

Best of luck and welcome to the forum Welcome

Your old contract will end immediately you migrate the number from it.
