I just received my phone bill and it's a whopping 84 quid!! 54 will be charged on minutes which I would never had used if I had known I had used all my minutes!
Why did O2 never inform me of my remaining minutes like they do to data. I am so gutted! It really makes me want to change carrier or swap back to pay & go. 😞 I am so annoyed right now

So easy to blame the company for your own shortcomings. ....your contract, your responsibility to manage it. Sorry but nowhere in the terms and conditions, that you quite happily agreed to, does it say they will warn you when you exceed your minutes allowance.

I undertand that. But the way they tricked me into thinking id receive a reminder of my remaining minutes like that of my remaining data and texts makes me think they are so sneaky.

They probably meant you could monitor it via MyO2

For the amount they charge compared to other carriers, is it really that difficult for them to send me a text kindly reminding me im near my limit? Yes I understand I need to manage my own account, but I expect exceptional client service too.

They didn't trick you, you probably didn't fully listen to the advisor when you signed up

Advisor? More like shop assistant. He simply told me how much I will be charged per month and set up the contract for me.

I check how many minutes i have left by sending a . (full stop) text to number 21202
O2 normally send me a reply text back straight away. HTH
