Hello
I live in Australia and keep an O2 sim active (by texting every 6 months) for when I visit the UK from time to time.
I need to change the sim from micro to nano, and someone who is visiting the UK is going to bring me back a new sim with a random number and no credit so that I can do a sim swap.
Will I be able to do that from Australia using the texting option or by live chat?
Also, are sims available in which the nano sim pops out from the micro sim? In the short term I'll need it in a micro size but when I get a new phone I'll need the nano.
Thanks 🙂
Cheers, Glen.

Doing it online they send a text to the old sim so it will probably be easier to get it done in the UK.

If the sim is in another phone in the UK ...you have a couple of choices then...it could be done by your friend inthe UK....or you could do it all when it gets to Australia.....Up to you really
They tried that but the store said they needed my ID.
It sounds like it will work better if they just get me a blank sim and I'll do it from Australia later.

Back to your first choice then @GlenSydney

In store will work if you give your friend your account security details, but if you decide to wait until back home, make sure you get both sim cards back.
What details do you think they would need?
All I remember is how to sign in to 'My O2'. 🙂

The answer to your security question and your sim in another phone so they can text a code to it.
If you don't remember your security question and answer, you can reset it in your MyO2.

They may also ask you the amount, approx date and method of your last top up but it is ally your security question so change it if you aren't sure.

In the end, my friend just walked into a different O2 shop and they did the sim swap there and then, so it all ended well.
Thanks again everybody for your help and advice, I really appreciate it. 🙂
