Sim only contract

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have just completed my second 24 month iPhone contract (3G first time around 4s this time around) and have been paying £32 a month (£26 + 6 for 1gb of data). I'm looking now to drop my contact down to a cheaper price as I'm happy to keep my 4S and feel that forking out a massive wedge for the 5S would just be pointless. The SIM only contract is definitely the best option but I'm not impressed at all with the tariffs, specifically on the data allowance side of things. The price I'm looking at offers 750mb which is pitiful. I don't want to have to manage and take care of what websites and services I use when out and about as this is something you definitely have to do with such little monthly allowance. Is it not at all possible to just get unlimited data? A rival network can offer 2000 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £21 a month which is ideal for me. Can anything like this be offered to me after having spent well upwards of £2000 over the last 4 years with O2? If not I feel it is definitely time to switch networks and would like to know what kind of procedure I would have to undertake to move my number to another network. Do I need to get my new sim first and then request a PAC code from somewhere? Thanks for any help in advance.

There is no unlimited data tariff available from O2 anymore. You can still take the 4G tariff's if you wish which have more data included even though you won't be using 4G service.

Or you can get up to 2Gb on a 3G tariff https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/simplicity/?is4G=false

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi,

Network such as GiffGaff offer unlimited data use and you wont need to unlock your phone as it runs as a virtual network on O2.

If your interested in taking up O2's extra data offer then sign up before the 31/10/13.

http://www.o2.co.uk/4g/4g-tariffs

You can request your Pac code via 202 or Live Chat.

http://www.o2.co.uk/mobile/contactus

Give that to your new network within 30 days and everything will be done for you.

Here's a forum link on the Pac Code Procedure.
