Setting limits on bills

Hi does anyone know how to set limits on call charges or even notifications when call costs go over a certain amount?

Tesco not only cap what you spend, but you can also build in a safety buffer, i.e. you can set the cap at £15 per month, but should you go over that amount you can set a buffer from £.2.50 up to £40. They also will send you a text if you're getting close to your capped amount. Makes much more sense to do things that way.

What happens if you reach your buffer Bambino?
Is it cut off completely or do they allow an emergency call?

To be honest, MI5, I don't know. If they text you when you near your cap, I would think they would also text you when you neared your buffer limit. If you got cut off you really would have no excuse that you weren't aware of approaching your limits.

Yes I agree, but you can make emergency calls on phones even if you don't have a sim in the phone, so I would think that would apply.

Thanks for the extra info, I don't think it should be too hard for O2 to have this.

Personally I just found it fascinating to read how Tesco can put a cap on it (using the O2 network) and O2 themselves can't (or won't) implement a similar system....
