Retaining existing Sim Only deal on new O2 Refresh

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a sim only at £18 for 10 Gig Data and I am told I can now upgrade although I am only 5 odd months in.

There is a O2 Refresh deal I am interested in, with a Galaxy S7 Edge at £399 for the phone but a number of plans all of which are much more expensive than than mine. What I would like to do is combine the two, i.e. keep my existing plan and pay for the phone £399.

Does any one know if this is possible? How should I go about this?

Thanks all.

The only possible way is to buy the phone on payg or sim free and use your sim in it.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

What about if I just order a completely new contract with O2 and then cancel the air time immediately?

Does O2 allow 2 different contracts to be running simulataneously for one customer?

To cancel the airtime immediately you would have to pay off the device plan fully, so it's the same end result as buying outright in the first place but with more hassle.

@Anonymous If you search online you can get an S7 Edge for around £100 more than the price you quoted. Using your current sim only tariff that should work out cheaper than a new Refresh contract.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
