I applied for a phone contract pay monthly but got denied yet £100 has still been taken from my bank account how can I get this back? It won't allow me to talk to a virtual assistant

Your money hasn't left your bank. It is held in a shadow account until O2 request it, but as you have been refused a contract, they won't.
It will return to your cleared funds in a few days in line with your banks policy on this.
