Hi all, I recently changed from SIM only to a regular device plan, since returned the device (it’s still within the 14 day period) my first bill has come in for the full amount, I understand this is because o2 haven’t received the device back yet (I only sent it off this morning), as I won’t have been using it, is it worthwhile chasing for a partial refund of this bill (the device portion) when they do receive it or do I just have to “write it off” this month? I tried to ask live chat but I’m not sure they understood exactly what I meant. Many thanks

You can certainly ask as you should be refunded.
However make sure you contact the right people as I've posted above. (Payment Management)
Don't bother with live chat, they rarely know much about this sort of thing.

The bill be the full amount as you pay in advance.
However I note you say you returned the device?
Was that the new one as you've had a change of mind?

Hi, @Cleoriff yeah it was, just decided it wasn’t for me so went back to previous device as I was inside the 14 day cool off period. Price wise it breaks down to around £15 for tariff and £26 device monthly, so this month I’m paying that in full, so I assume I can’t ask them to refund the device part for this month once they’ve received it back? Or it’s not worth it as they won’t. (I understand if they don’t and wouldn’t be annoyed or anything just checking).
