Putting son's number on my ongoing phone deal until it expires. Can it be done mid term.

I am off to EE because they can support my Galaxy LTE Watch and O2 only support Apple Watches. However I have 6 months remaining on my contract which I would like to give to my son, whose own Vodafone contract just expired. Obviously we both want to keep our existing numbers. Can this be done, and if so, how? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

@Oxfordian1

Can't be done I'm sorry to say.

Porting your number out will close your O2 account immediately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Oxfordian1 Here's how to get your PAC to keep your number: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/How-to-get-your-PAC-July-2019-Update/ba-p/1052278

Your son will need his PAC from Vodafone using whatever method they have.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Sorry to hear that, but it makes sense, sadly. How annoying. You would think that would make sense?

Yes, it is annoying and would be a useful addition, but as everything is driven from the number, it controls everything account related.
