Problem with text messages

Hi l am a bit bewildered as some of my texts come through my apple iPad but I don't get them on my new iPhone 11.

can anyone help?

That shouldn't be happening. The iPad is data only, so it seems you have the same number on your ipad as your phone? You need a data only sim for the ipad.

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen if you have to.

Do you mean texts or iMessages?

iPads obviously cannot receive text messages but they can receive iMessages.

These will come through to the Apple account ID that you have logged on the device.

Check if you have the same addresses logged on the iPhone under Settings >Messages >Send and Receive
