Right I'm totally peed off here
Having been an o2 customer for well over 15 years in well aware of the rpi increases each year.

That's fine. Well it's not but it's in the t&c's.

Well my contract was up for renewal and there was a better deal available as a new contract so I took that option.

Anyway advertised price £43 / month

Just got my first bill and it's stating my tariff is not £43 but they've increased it by the 4% rpi.

The contract wasn't taken out until the 21st April and advertised at £43 so how can they increase the price without telling me.

I'm aware you accept the terms and conditions when you take a contract or upgrade. But surely I'm within my rights to think that the advertised price on the 21st April will not increase until the next round of rpi increases due to the fact the contract was taken after 1st April

RPI increases are in February , it's possible that you were billed for more than 31 days, or for something else if you go into tarrif and allowances on myo2 that should tell you the tarrif you are on, and the device plan (if you have one) will tell you what that is per month - that should add up to £43.

You can also look up the bill details to see what the extra was.

@DReevesIf you feel you have been charged in excess of your accepted contract then you re within your rights to make a complaint.

However check out My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2  (in case it's to do with first bill adjustments)

If you see nothing to suggest it's that you could ring Customer services for an explanation https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus  or make a complaint https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

As customers like yourself, none of us have access to your account so it's pure guesswork on our part.

I hope you get it sorted and welcome to the forum Welcome
