OFCOM should make it illegal to increase the price/tarfiiff until teh 1 year contract period as ended. Just receivd a email from O2 saying theres going to be anotehr price increase. Not happy about it, but nothing I can do.
Sorry just seen there is already a post baout this issue

agreed we upgraded to 2 4g business contracts in november on and on with 5gb data (plus 3gb free) cost inc vat each was £47 a month now thanks to 4g access charge removed £42 so will be £43.13 still less than original contract price and will be next year as well (assuming a 2.7% rise) at £44.29.
I for one will not be making rash exit move lets see what the competition do

Just looked at all other main networks T&C and only o2 seam to have got the wording correct in line with guidance voda and 3 and ee al mention may increas price
Vodafone and Three have stated they will comply with the OFCOM ruling as it was intended and will not increase prices mid contract

I would check the current T&C posted on 3 and voda they are all still saying may change price. But not in the way o2's is compliant with the ofcom guidelines http://www.vodafone.co.uk/about-this-site/terms-and-conditions/ look at jan 2014 t&c http://www.vodafone.co.uk/about-this-site/terms-and-conditions/pay-monthly-airtime-conditions/index....

Three's statement: http://blog.three.co.uk/2014/01/24/great-news-for-consumers-our-position-on-ofcoms-announcement-abou...
I don't have a link to vodafone's statement. I was basing my comments on that on information posted by others on this forum

Give them chance. They can't all be as fast as certain other networks were in updating their terms

Thank you for the posts adamtemp64, they are very informative and explain both sides. Your posts are helpful to everyone! The posts are just information for me as they don't affect me as i'm on PAYG but it's still good to know about these changes.
I just wish some members wouldn't post identical threads about it as the forum is overun with posts of similar names and copying the same links and repeating the same information. The forum should be searched to check for duplicates prior to posting again and again.
I asked Chiara if one of your posts could be made in to a main thread and it can be updated when more information comes in, to prevent more duplicates, however it is not allowed to be done.

Agreed there really doesn't need to be so many threads on this especially when the 8 page main thread discussing this that I created when the news broke hasn't left the first page of this section since its creation

The moderators cannot remove posts or threads because they will received backlash from members who think that they are taking sides and penalising people.
It's a no-win situation 😞

Happens every time we get an outage or price rise new handset release etc.
Thie creation of a master thread has been discussed before at length and nothing will change.
So to ensue the point is made we have to post the answers / ideas etc in all the multi threads or use links our self to any official / unoficial threads.
Just the way it is done on here.
