Switched from Vodafone to O2 on Saturday, and have O2 the PAC from Vodafone at the time of ordering. SIM arrived today with, it appears, a new number. Will my old number activate later? How long does it take? Anyone know the drill? Thanks.

Thanks Cleoriff, that's helpful but, do you know if I need to do a 'SIM swap' to get this working? Thanks.

@Faitch2603

You can't sim swap from voda to O2, you'll need to call O2 to initiate the transfer Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

The best number to get through seems to be
0800 587 4005

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

According to the guide, O2 just needed your PAC.

Keep rebooting your phone. If it still hasn't switched by tomorrow, give O2 a call  and ask them to migrate your number across.

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

0800 587 4005 is the best one to call.

@Faitch2603 Ports are taking longer than they normally do. If you did the process correctly, your Vodafone sim will stop working. You will then need to turn your phone with your O2 sim in it on and off periodically until the port completes. If that doesn't happen, you'll need to contact customer service as advised above.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
