So many moons ago when i had o2 broadband and it was sold to sky (I'm getting misty eyed thinking of the good old days) I moved my broadband to plusnet and ive been quite happy with it since. The other day i recieved an interesting email from them, seems they are launching their own mobile service piggy-backing off EE.

This offer seems exceptionally good. Considering o2 cant come close to offering anything as good to match it. I am out of contract at the moment but had a look online to see what upgrade/change/new customers could potentially get and nothing comes close. Of course i take it all with a pinch of salt. It is on EE's network and I've read a few horror stories. And my o2 has always been quite reliable over the years.

Certainly something i might be considering.

Owned by BT so not surprising really.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

What is that in reference to though? The horror stories?

Plusnet uses BT's infrastructure and ive never had any problems and had good customer service from them so i have to wonder if it will translate to the mobile service.

BT owns EE and also runs it's own mobile service with the same tariffs.

The prices are tempting...until you look closely and see they are all for 30 days only.....So what will happen after 30 days....will they hike up prices?

No, it's a 30 day rolling contract same as O2 do.
Prices will go up in line with Rpi every April.

It's worth looking at the terms and conditions of the offer. If that is for a set period of time, ie. 12 months, then it's certainly an offer that beats any current O2 offer.

I'll check but am guessing it's for plusnet customers only.

I wasn't sure it was the same as O2. I only read it as an introductory offer...which surely leaves them free  to change after the thirty days? Even if they don't I expect they will rise massively in April.

I am wary because I have seen this before when a friend switched broadband provider. Tempted by the introduction...within 6 months was paying excessively more than old provider...
