All day - Phone won't accept or make calls.

O2 site says they're "dealing with it" & "turn phone off and on" - but doesn't help.

Can't reach customer services.

I know a lot of people are in the same boat - when are we going to get either:

Our service back

OR

Information as to what you are doing about it & when it might be fixed.

?

As customers like yourself we'd have no idea.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

The best place to check is https://status.o2.co.uk

"We’re aware of an issue which might be affecting some customers making and receiving voice calls. Our technical teams are working on fixing the issue. If you're experiencing issues making and receiving calls, try switching your device off and on again which may help your service return to normal. Data and text messages are not impacted. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Unfortunately as with all technology services, issues do occur and timescales are not given as to when service will be resumed as not to give false expectations.

o2 Technical teams will be working to restore service as fast as they can.

It will be pointless trying to reach customer service. You will know yourself when the issue is fixed by rebooting your phone every 30 minutes or so.

Uh-huh.

Thanks strange forum haunting types. Clearly (from my post) I have read the site.

Doesn't change the fact - phone I'm paying for doesn't work. And customer service doesn't exist.

Please don't bother replying unless you have something useful to contribute.

@ebgt

Customer services does exist in a limited capacity.

All numbers are in this guide/

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

The number 0800 587 4005 seems to have the highest success rate. I got through on it yesterday.

Oh and I'm not a 'strange forum haunting type'. Just a customer like you trying to help.

Best time to call is 8am.

If that isn't good enough, then that's too bad.

Well this is a community for o2 customers.
You can check status.o2.co.uk for updates on the problem.
Or you can phone customer services.
Both of those might give you the information you need.
On here, we would direct you to them. We do not work for o2, we do not have access to any information or people or services you don't.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here
