@Megan_orton

You need to speak to customer services but it's most unlikely to have been taken early as it is by direct debit, If it is in error, it can be reclaimed under the direct debit guarantee.

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Payment is always two weeks from the billing date and comes out of your account on the same date every month. It's unlikely that O2 have made an error so maybe you don't understand how your contract works? You are always billed one month in advance.
